Cody Purvis

With JJ Lawhorn & Jeremy Staubus

Cody Purvis has a unique style all his own, but is firmly committed to keeping alive the southern outlaw styles of Waylon, Merle and Hank. At 6’6”, Cody owns the stage. His energy and charisma showcase his deep country roots and have earned him opening slots for Josh Thompson, Trent Tomlinson, Steve Holy, Lee Greenwood, Corey Smith, Colt Ford, Peter Frampton, Darius Rucker and Trace Adkins.

Raised in Charlottesville, Virginia, Cody's early influences were Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams, Jr., and Toby Keith.  Nashville, Tennessee is where Cody hangs his hat now, actively pursuing his life-long dream of a music career. Cody proudly stood on Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium stage in January 2013 and sang his single “Rednecks in the Ryman” to a sold out crowd, receiving a standing ovation. It was truly an honor to stand on the stage where many legends have stood and deliver a powerful song about keeping traditional country music alive.

Cody’s passion for music, energetic style, and his natural appreciation for his fans attracts crowds of all ages. If you are coming to one of Cody’s shows…be ready to stay on your feet for a high energy, enthusiastic performance. And, you may just find yourself crying along during those slow, sappy, tear-jerkers.
